Slovak University of Technology

The Slovak University of Technology (STU) is the first Technical university in Slovakia. It was founded in 1937 and at present time it includes 7 faculties (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Chemical and Food Technoilogy, Faculty of Material Sciences and Technology, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies. 

At present time there are cca 19000 of  home and foreign students studiing in all forms of study programes. Slovak University of Technology is a research oriented university. During its existence, the university significantly contributed to development of scientific knowledge, enrichment and utilisation of scientific knowledge for the benefit of mankind.

The university pursues research in all the areas in which university education is provided, thus in the areas of architecture, civil engineering, geodesy, cartography, chemical technologies, food processing, machinery, electrical engineering, electronics, informatics, information and communication technologies and applied physics, mathematics, economics, social science as well.

Technical University of Kosice

The Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia Today the TUKE has nine faculties, around 16 000 full-time undergraduate students. Almost 900 teachers work here, and the same number of research and administrative staff.

TUKE caters for a wide range of educational needs not only in the East-Slovak region, but throughout Slovakia and Central Europe, as in many specializations it is the only centre of education and research in this area. TUKE closely co-operates with other universities and with industrial organizations throughout the region and the Slovak Republic.

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, has been one of the leaders in Slovak technical higher education. The Faculty is committed to providing its students with the best possible experience of education for their future career and leadership in their profession, for admission to advanced degree programs, and for lifelong learning.

The faculty offers a wide variety of full-time and part-time courses, which are relevant to industry's needs. Graduates leave our departments well equipped to meet the needs of industry and development/research institutions and get their jobs with ease.
