University of Craiova

The University of Craiova, Romania offers excellent conditions of study to its 32000 students, in various fields embracing 120 specialisations.

The Teaching Package includes 3 stages of academic studies (BA, MA, Ph.D) that are ensured by over 1000 teaching staff and high technological equipment. The institution organises bachelor, master, PhD. studies in the field of Electrical and Information Engineering.

The university has a Department of Quality Management and a Department of Distance Education (distance education as a component of life long learning). There is a continuing education centre at the Faculty of Automation, Computers and Electronics.

"Vasile Goldis" Western University of Arad

The "Vasile Goldis" Western University of Arad, Romania was founded in 1990, and accredited in 2002 by Law 240. In September 2007, the University signed the Magna Charta Universitatum of Bologna, thus becoming part of the European Higher Education Area.

Synthetically outlined, the teaching and research mission of the university is the following: higher education institution, center of scientific research and innovation, source of technological and socio-economic inventions, innovations and development, provider of specialized services for the community, etc.

“Vasile Goldis” Western University of Arad is structured over the three higher education cycles (B-M-D), six faculties, 23 bachelor fields with over 13,000 students, 23 master programmes and two doctoral schools – Medicine and Biology, with over 200 PhD students. Under the aegis of the Senate, interdisciplinary, innovative and multicultural scientific research is integrated in the University’s research institutes and centers: Institute for Life Sciences, Center for Psycho-Pedagogical Counseling, the Center for Social Research and Opinion Polling, six cultural centers, the ITA-GOLDTECH Technological and Business Incubator, etc. Academic resources for scientific research also include the University Botanical Park of Macea, with a surface of over 21 hectares.

Gheorghe Asachi Techical University of Iasi,

The Gheorghe Asachi Techical University of Iasi, Romania (TUIASI) is a Higher Education and research institution which finds itself in a continuous process of improving its performances.

Within its 11 faculties, 3 departments (among which a distinct department specialized in the training of the didactic personnel) and 11 Doctoral schools TUIASI carries out over 100 programs of University studies (license and masters) and post-university studies of great diversity and quality, which are recognized on a both national and international level.

Nowadays a number of approximately 15000 students are following the study programmes of the university.

Technical University of Cluj-Napoca

The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania was founded in 1920 and presently includes the following 13 faculties: Automation and Computer Science, Electronics Telecommunications and Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Machine Building, Building Services, Architecture and Urban Planning, Materials and Environmental Engineering, all these in Cluj-Napoca, and also, starting from 2012, the faculties of Engineering, Humanities, Sciences and Mineral Resources within the North University Center of Baia Mare.

Within the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca 1622 academics staff are employed and approximately 19.183 students are enrolled.

Politechnica University of Bucharest, Romania

The Center for Technological Electronics and Interconnection Techniques from Politechnica University of Bucharest (UPB - CETTI), was founded in 1995 as a research and training center, according with the new Romanian legislation for education and research. Like other electronic packaging centers in the world, the main objectives of CETTI are to offer a substantial support in electronic packaging activities for innovative SMEs and to sustain educational and training for continuing education of the human resource involved in electronics industry.  UPB - CETTI operates as an “Electronic Packaging Education, Training and Research Environment” within the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest (UPB), the largest and oldest technical university in Romania. It has been implemented in 2004 the ISO-9001 quality management system and is IPC member since 1997.

CETTI is a founder member of APTE - Association for Promoting Electronics Technology. Also, CETTI organizes since 1995 the international symposium SIITME – The International Symposium for Design and Technology of Electronic Packages and a professional student contest TIE- Interconnection Techniques in Electronics (since 1992).
