Czeck Technical University of Prague

The Czech Technical University Prague, was founded on the initiative of Josef Christian Willenberg, on the basis of a foundation deed signed by Emperor Joseph I and dated 18 January, 1707. It is one of the oldest technical universities and currently the leading technical university in the Czech Republic with approx. 24 000 students enrolled in engineering courses. CVUT with over 1500 members of academic staff is also one of the largest research institutions in the Czech Republic.  The university provides high-quality university education through an extensive portfolio of primarily engineering branches of study, conducts basic and applied research and numerous scientific projects with great emphasis on industrial use and applications. It cooperates closely with both domestic and foreign-based institutions. It educates dynamic future experts, scientists and managers who will be flexible in adapting to the requirements of the market. 

The research and education is performed at 8 faculties: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering; Architecture, Transportation Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology; and 4 university institutes: Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (established 2013), Klokner Institute, Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies, University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings.

The SALEIE project partner is the Faculty of Electrical Engineering that educates new experts in the fields of electrical engineering, telecommunications, electronics, automation, informatics, computer science, biomedical engineering and biomedical informatics.
